Rehab 13 handled the first of three calls for service during this latest storm. Due to the wet and heavy snow U1386 was requested by 1301 (Chief Giorgio) to block traffic at Cropwell and Rabbit Run Rd's. due to a large tree that had begun to come down due to snow weight south of Station 13-8 making Cropwell Rd toward Kresson Road impassable.

Once that tree was removed a request was received from Battalion 13 (Haldeman) to provide food for the Maple Shade and Cherry Hill Fire Police personnel that were on 15-20 traffic posts due to the trees and wires being brought down by the snow weight during the storm. Both of these assignments were handled by in station personnel. At 0130 hrs the fire police assignment cleared.

At 0327 hrs Rehab 13 was toned out on a special call on the third alarm apartment fire in the City of Camden, Myrtle Place apartments at Rt. 130 and Myrtle Avenue. Rehab responded with 1385 and U1386 and 6 personnel and met with CFC 1 Bill Shaffer. Both units were positioned at Myrtle Avenue and Rt. 130 in a private business parking lot across the street from the apartment building. Rehab 13 was requested to set up the Zumro tent and provide heat and shelter inside same for the displaced residents of the Birch building that was on fire.

The Zumro tent was deployed with the heater, lighting, and folding chairs for the residents along with several dogs and bird cages. The civilians were fed and kept warm while the Red Cross along with building management made arrangements for the displaced residents temporary housing units in the complex and a local hotel.

Rehab provided hot food, hot beverages, cold beverages, snack foods, lighting, a rest room and blankets, spare socks, and boot and hand warmers.

Rehab 13 remained on scene until the Red Cross was able to move the civilian's to a vacant apartment to arrange for transportation. Rehab 13 was released from Camden at 0745 hrs and en-route to station 1386 came across an MVC involving two vehicles at Marlton Pike and Roosevelt Avenue. U1386 and Rehab 13 stopped to assist and notified Camden County Communications to send Police, EMS, and Fire Units from Pennsauken for the assist.

Rehab 13 was able to return to station at that time and restored the apparatus and was back in service at 0900 hrs.
