On April 13, 2023, Rehab 13 provided support for the funeral of former Deptford Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Pfeiffer.
Chief Pfeiffer suffered a cardiac arrest at the Almonesson Lake Firehouse on March 23rd, according to the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management. As the medical emergency happened following a report of smoke at a residence, Chief Pfeiffer’s passing has been recognized as a line-of-duty death. Chief Pfeiffer served the township as a firefighter for over 50 years.
