On Wednesday evening Rehab 1385 ventured out into heavy rains to attend the Voorhees Fire Department Fire Prevention Open House at the Eastern Regional High School Campus located off of Laurel Oak Road. Despite the heavy rain showers that persisted until the end of the show at 2100 hrs. the event was well attended. We along with Camden County Canteen Two provided hot food coffee hot chocolate and iced tea to the members of the fire service and the public that attended the show. Most of the 500 hot dogs that were purchased were cooked and served by the Rehab and Canteen units.Their were outside apparatus displays miniature fire engine rides and numerous inside attractions including a juggling Ronald McDonald Smokey the bear Swoop the Camden Riversharks mascot the Commerce Bank Mascot Crime Dog McGruff as well as several displays from various agencies. The Voorhees Fire Department also provided all kinds of information and handouts water ice popcorn and soft pretzels.The members of Deer Park Rehab 13-8 are glad to help out with these events and look forward to taking part in other open houses.Tonight October 12 2006 we will be at the Haddon Fire Companies event and we are goping to be at Station 11-4 on October 23rd 2006 to help out the Pennsauken Fire Department.All photos by Captain L.
