divRetired Cherry Hill Police Officer and LifenbspMembernbspof the Erlton Fire Company Station 13-2 Enoch Bud Tomlinson was laid to rest today afternbsppassing away suddenly and unexpectedly a few days ago in the hospital. Bud was a Cherry Hill PolicenbspSgt. and Detective and served for 37 12 years. He was also a 53 year member ofnbsp the Erlton Fire Company where he held the positions of Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Commissioner during his long service to the community of Cherry Hill.divdivnbspdivdivAfter retirement from the Police Department Bud went back to work with the Cherry Hill Police Departmentnbspas a civilian employee in the Computer Services section and was involved in numerous projects including the setup of the original 9-1-1 servicenbspthe installation of computers in patrol cars and thenbspenhanced 9-1-1 system tonbspname but a few.divdivnbspdivdivBudnbspworked diligently with representatives ofnbspnumerous agencies including the Cherry Hill Fire Department. Henbspassisted in providing solutions for the 9-1-1 system startup andnbspaided in getting thenbsp bugsnbspoutnbspofnbspnbsp9-1-1 call processing and forwarding.
